Success! The BMW made the round trip to work and back without a blip today. No knocks, no ‘Low Pressure Warning” lights and great throttle response!
Perhaps the BMW Poltergeist visited upon me to ensure I’d get those throttle bodies sync’d up so the bike would run correctly. It will be interesting to see if the fuel mileage returns to its former mid-30’s vs. the low-30’s I’ve been seeing.
Anyway, I was really pleased with the ride today; good to have the Beemer back now that the early morning temps will be heading into the 50’s by the end of the week and likely the 40’s by the beginning of October. It really is a great, all-weather commuter bike… even though it’s a crime to leave such a pretty bike sitting out in the sun all day and to condemn it to a life of uninspiring milk runs to and from the same place instead of humming around a racetrack.
